Job summary

A local government agency in England is seeking an Asset Management Analyst (Energy) for a temporary 12-month role. Job description

One of my local government clients is recruiting an Asset Management Analyst (Energy) for a 12‑month temporary assignment. This key role supports the Council’s housing asset management strategy, focusing on energy performance, compliance, and long‑term investment planning.

Harlow is a well‑connected and thriving district, offering excellent amenities, strong transport routes, and direct access to London and Stansted Airport.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage EPC consultants to ensure the housing portfolio meets minimum energy efficiency standards.
  • Analyse the housing stock to evaluate asset performance and identify investment opportunities that improve the quality and standard of council properties.
  • Maintain accurate and reliable data within the Council’s asset management system, MRI Asset.
  • Prepare detailed reports and recommendations for senior management.
  • Validate and interpret EPC/SAP outputs for asset management and compliance purposes.
  • Identify gaps, trends, and opportunities to drive improvements in energy performance across the housing stock.
Experience and Skills Required
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel, Power BI or equivalent reporting tools.
  • Previous experience in asset management, housing analysis or real‑estate analysis.
  • Knowledge of social housing regulations and asset management practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to simplify and present complex data.
  • Ability to work independently and within a collaborative team environment.
  • Experience working with asset management data systems such as MRI, Orchard or Sava Intelligent Energy (desirable).
