Onsite Network Engineer (SC) – 2-3 Month Contract
Job summary
A technology services company in the United Kingdom is seeking a Network Engineer for an onsite role in Barrow in Furness. The position involves configuring network infrastructure and requires SC Clearance. The ideal candidate will have strong skills in Cisco Networking, Data Centre operations, and Authentication protocols. This role offers a daily rate up to £570 plus expenses and involves rotational evening shifts. Candidates must be willing to work in secure environments.
Qualifications
- Experience with SC Clearance and willingness to work full time onsite.
- Proficiency in Cisco Networking and Data Centre operations.
- Understanding of Authentication protocols (802.1x, Cisco ISE, Active Directory).
Responsibilities
- Inputting into High Level Designs and creating Low Level designs.
- Configuring core infrastructure components like switches and firewalls.
- Performing impact assessments on large or complex networks.
- Planning surveys for cross/site distribution areas and ensuring cabling power/space is sufficient.
- Installing new SDA switches and ensuring testing of new kits.
