Job description

Installation Engineer – Letchworth Garden City

An international supplier of high security entry systems is currently going through a period of substantial growth and is, therefore, looking to expand its installation and maintenance department. There are openings available for two additional Engineers, one installer and one maintenance/repair Engineer.

Package includes a basic salary of up to £40,000. With contracted hours of 37.5 per week, this works out at just over £20.50 per hour.

The company doesn't operate an out of hours call out rota therefore, this role would suit an Engineer who is searching for a better work/life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• Installing, servicing, maintaining, and repairing a wide range of equipment including Portals, Pods, Revolving Doors, Speed Lanes, Turnstiles, Gates, Barriers, Access Control, and CCTV Systems
• Fault finding on electrical, mechanical, and electronic equipment
• Electrical wiring
• Adhering to industry health and safety guidelines
• Providing customers with advice and identifying the best solution to their individual requirement

Key Requirements

• Hold a clean driving licence
• Hold a valid CSCS Card
• Have electrical, mechanical, and electronic fault finding experience
• Have experience working on Portals, Pods, Revolving Doors, Speed Lanes, Turnstiles, Gates, Barriers, Access Control, and CCTV Systems
• Be willing to work outside of normal working hours
• Be willing to travel to all UK regions
• Have excellent verbal and written communication skills

Compensation & Benefits

• Basic Salary £35,000 - £40,000
• 5 hour working week
• Weekday overtime paid at 1.5 for any hours above 7.5 per day including travel
• Saturday overtime paid at 1.5
• Sunday overtime paid at 2.0
