A small, friendly growing practice in York is seeking a Bookkeeper. The role involves day-to-day bookkeeping using Sage, Xero, and Freeagent, and requires at least 2 years of experience, as well as confidence with general VAT rules. Responsibilities include preparing VAT returns, bank reconciliations, and month-end journals. Role: Bookkeeper - York based (free parking, just out of city centre)
A great opportunity has arisen for a Bookkeeper to join a small, friendly growing practice based in York.

Hours: 37.5 hours per week (this can be flexible for the right candidate)
- Responsible for day to day bookkeeping on Sage, Xero & Freeagent.
- Preparation of VAT returns and EC reports
- Preparation of bank reconciliations
- Process month end journals
My client operates Virtual Cabinet (internal paperless document management system).
Full training will be provided on Xero & Freeagent if required.
- Preferably minimum of 2 years experience
- Confident on general VAT rules, including basic international transactions.
- Capable of managing own workflow and clients.
- Great communicator with clients and colleagues.
- May be required to visit clients on site, therefore own transport required.
