We're looking for a dedicated Safeguarding Practitioner to play a critical role in ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all students across the college. This is a vital position at the heart of our commitment to creating a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment. You'll work closely with staff, students, and external agencies to identify, assess, and respond to safeguarding concerns. Your knowledge, empathy, and professional judgement will help protect and empower some of our most vulnerable learners. Our Openshaw campus is a vibrant, modern hub of learning, equipped with outstanding, industry‑standard facilities designed to inspire both staff and students. Located just outside Manchester city centre, the campus offers a wide range of vocational and academic courses, with specialist spaces for areas such as construction, engineering, health, and digital.

The Manchester College is the largest Further Education College in the United Kingdom and provides extensive provisions for 16‑19 year olds, adults, and higher education in Greater Manchester. We are part of the LTE group and support more than 25% of Greater Manchester’s learning provision. The College is rated "Good" by Ofsted and boasts 18 Centres of Excellence across our campuses. We have partnerships with over 1000 industry and employer partners nationally.
