The Role

As a Behaviour Mentor, you'll support students to engage positively in lessons, make good behaviour choices and overcome barriers to learning. The role suits someone with experience in pastoral, youth work, teaching assistant, learning mentor, or sport-based mentoring settings, and is also ideal for a motivated graduate looking to build a career in education.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide behaviour and pastoral support across KS3 and KS4
  • Build strong, supportive relationships with students and staff
  • Encourage positive engagement and motivate students in lessons
  • Work alongside teachers to apply consistent behaviour strategies
  • Support pupils' emotional, social and academic development
  • Respond calmly and professionally to behavioural challenges
What We’re Looking For
  • Experience in a school, youth work, mentoring, or education-based setting
  • Strong behaviour management skills and a resilient, calm approach
  • Ability to work flexibly across classes, year groups and pastoral needs
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • A positive role model who encourages confidence and engagement
  • Relevant qualifications in behaviour support or education are beneficial but not essential
