SLB's Crawley hub is a modern office environment, which is the centre of excellence for our Geosolutions and Exploration Data operations in Europe. Here we provide high‑end geophysical data processing and imaging services to diverse clients from majors and independents to national oil companies. Our operations teams are co‑located within our headquarters geophysics team which provides regional support and oversight ensuring rapid technology deployment and high-quality, differentiating customer service.
The Geophysical Software Engineer is responsible for the development, support and maintenance of seismic processing software produced by SLB for both internal and external clients.
Omega is SLB's primary seismic software system, designed to process large volumes of data acquired during seismic surveys, providing industry‑leading subsurface imaging and characterisation. The system incorporates advanced computational algorithms and software components built on mathematical and statistical models of physical phenomena, particularly wave propagation in complex media.
The Software Geophysicist contributes by developing new algorithms and models and extending existing software solutions to meet evolving business needs.
