Job summary
A healthcare organization in Slough is seeking an Emergency Medicine Consultant to join a multidisciplinary team at Wexham Park Hospital. The role entails providing high-quality, evidence-based care to patients, leading clinical governance, mentoring junior staff, and participating in departmental performance assessments. Ideal candidates will be registered with the Specialist Register for Emergency Medicine and possess excellent communication skills. - Within 6 months of receiving CCT/CESR award or already awarded.
- Instructor status in ALS/ATLS/APLS – preferred; in-date provider status – essential.

- Provide safe, timely, evidence-based care to patients presenting in the Emergency Department.
- Lead clinical governance activities and support continuous quality improvement.
- Mentor junior colleagues and contribute to training programmes.
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and case reviews.
- Collate and report on departmental performance indicators.

The Consultant body is friendly and energetic. We work together as a team to ensure the Emergency Department at Wexham Park Hospital delivers outstanding, consultant‑delivered care and maintains strong relationships with speciality colleagues.
You will join a multidisciplinary team consisting of 16 Consultants, 12 Higher Speciality Trainees, 14 Speciality Doctors/Senior Clinical Fellows, 31 Junior doctors (including FY2, GP VTS, ACCS, and Junior Clinical Fellows) and 5 ACPs.
