Job description

Alongside this consultant job there are also opportunities to take on one of our leadership roles on a three-year basis within your workplan in your substantive consultant role:

  • Divisional Medical Director – Older Adults, Specialist and Children's Services: You will ensure the provision of high quality, efficient and effective services across the division. It will be your responsibility, in conjunction with leadership colleagues, to ensure the division delivers the Trust Strategy and enabling plans within the division and its care groups.
  • Clinical Director – Working Age Adults, Community and Assessment Care Group: You will provide medical leadership through a triumvirate leadership model to your care group and work collaboratively to improve quality, productivity and efficiency. You will work closely with the other care group leaders to realise the vision, values and strategic objectives of the Trust. As a clinical leader you will be involved in shaping and developing the service as the Trust is undertaking a new build project. In November 2024 Ward 35 will be moving to the Kingsway Site in Derby and the ward will be based in a new purpose‑built hospital with the eradication of dormitories. The ward will then be named Dove Ward.
