Job summary
A prestigious preparatory school near Cranbrook is seeking an experienced Chef de Partie to join their team. The role involves catering for school functions and events during weekdays and weekends. The ideal candidate should have experience in a professional kitchen and be comfortable working both independently and as part of a team. Salary is negotiable based on experience, starting from £18,000. The role is to be filled before the end of the Summer Term or from September 2024.
Qualifications

Responsibilities
- Cater for all School functions and events.
- Lock up and close down the kitchen and dining room.
- Work during term-time and some weekends.
Our client is a highly regarded co-educational preparatory school for children aged 3-13 situated near Cranbrook, Kent. Their modern school with first class facilities is well known for its fabulous food and spotlessly clean facilities, and it is the Catering & Housekeeping team's responsibility to ensure that they maintain this excellent reputation.
They are now seeking a Chef de Partie to join their team as soon as possible, working Tuesday to Friday, 10.30am - 6.30pm, and Saturday 8.00am - 1.00pm during term-time, with flexibility for rota-based hours. In this role, you will be catering for all School functions and events, including at weekends (match teas) and evenings. You should be happy to work alone and as part of a team. You will be responsible for locking up and closing down the kitchen and dining room.
Salary is from FTE £18,000 but is negotiable and depending upon experience. They are looking for someone to join them before the end of the Summer Term if possible, subject to all satisfactory references and compliance checks. However, they are happy to recruit for the right candidate to join from the start of the Autumn Term (September 2024) if that is more convenient.
