A healthcare provider in Truro is seeking a pharmacy technician to work in Critical Care and Theatres. The role involves dispensing medications, ensuring accurate drug histories, and maintaining high-quality medicines management. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic and flexible, with a relevant pharmacy qualification. Join a dynamic department that's at the forefront of implementing new technologies.
We are looking for enthusiastic, self-motivated pharmacy technician with the potential and desire to develop through an exciting and varied role in Critical Care and Theatres.
Our pharmacy medicines optimisation teams provide near patient services such as medicines reconciliation, drug history taking and discharge facilitation. Critical care cares for the sickest patients in the trust and offers unique opportunities to challenge usual medicines management processes. Theatres is also a area of practice that offers new and exciting opportunities different to you would see on a standard ward. We are a dynamic department and have invested in new technologies such as electronic prescribing and robotics.
The post holder will cover both Critical Care and Theatres across RCHT and may need to be flexible to cover leave and sickness.
There is also weekend working of one weekend day every 5 weeks with a day off in lieu.
Sustainability is integral to the Trust achieving the NHS Net Zero target. All staff are therefore actively encouraged and supported to implement new ways of working within their field of expertise.
