Job summary
A leading recruitment agency is looking for an enthusiastic Nursery Assistant in Halifax. Qualifications
- Experience in a nursery or early years environment.
- Enhanced DBS preferred or willingness to obtain.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Nursery Assistant to join a friendly and supportive nursery setting in Halifax. This is a part-time, ongoing temporary role ideal for someone who is passionate about early years education and enjoys helping young children learn, play, and develop.
- Experience working within a nursery or early years environment
- Enhanced DBS (on the update service preferred, or willingness to obtain one)
- Knowledge of EYFS guidelines
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A caring, patient, and positive attitude
- Ability to follow safeguarding procedures at all times
- Support the day-to-day running of the nursery room
- Assist with planning, setting up, and supervising age-appropriate activities
- Engage children in play, learning, and social development
- Maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating environment
- Provide support with meals, personal care, and hygiene routines
- Observe and record children's progress following EYFS guidance
- Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
- Ensure safeguarding and health & safety standards are met at all times
- Help with preparing resources and tidying the environment at the end of the day
