This post is an exciting opportunity to join a multi-disciplinary Homeless & Rough Sleepers Service to provide mental health interventions to the client group. The post-holder will mainly work with young adult service users and work with client's who have a secondary care mental health history, to provide longer-term intervention, identifying and implementing the most appropriate pathway of care. The post-holder will provide line-management to junior members of staff, promoting mental health services to other providers and pro-actively working towards our Trusts values and objectives. The post-holder will have a sound working knowledge of the Mental Health Act 1983, The Care Act, relevant documentation and knowledge of Primary and Secondary Care Mental Health Services and Social Care. • The post holder will be specialist key member of the Primary Intermediate Mental Health Team.
• Effective in mental health assessment, formulating and providing intervention to people who are referred with moderate and complex mental health difficulties.
• Liaison with various multi agency professionals from both statutory and voluntary organisations. Sign-posting referrals as necessary to ensure that clients access the most suitable care in a timely manner.
• The role will work across all pathways within the Primary Intermediate Mental Health, including but not limited to locality, Early Help, SMI health checks, psychology, psychiatry, perinatal, autism and ADHD. You can choose whether to pay this over 1-3 months from your salary or as a one-off payment on commencement in post. The level of check required depends on the role that you have been offered. Currently the charges are - Basic DBS check £25.50, Standard DBS check £25.50 and Enhanced DBS check £53.50. You are encouraged where possible, to register for the DBS update service. This is an annual registration fee of £16. By registering for the update service you will not have the additional cost of repeated disclosures. Should you withdraw your application, you may be required to reimburse the cost of the DBS check. DBS checks remain free of charge for volunteer positions.
