  • Contract Administration: Manage project documentation, including contracts, schedules, budgets, and cost reports. Ensure compliance with all contractual obligations.

  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks to the successful completion of contracts and implement effective mitigation strategies.

  • Health & Safety: Promote a culture of safety on-site, ensuring all health and safety regulations are adhered to at all times.

  • Financial Control: Monitor project budgets and cost control, ensuring profitability and the timely completion of projects within financial constraints.

  • Technical Expertise: Provide technical support and guidance on mechanical design, installation, and systems integration where required.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Contracts Manager with a mechanical bias, ideally within the building services, M&E, or construction sectors.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles, systems, and installations.
  • Excellent project management skills with a focus on delivering projects within scope, budget, and timelines.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience in contract budgeting, cost control, and forecasting.
  • Ability to lead and motivate teams, providing clear direction and fostering a collaborative working environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, suppliers, and internal teams.
  • Strong understanding of health and safety regulations and their application in the construction environment.
  • A relevant qualification in Mechanical Engineering or related field (e.g., HNC/HND, Degree) is highly desirable.
  • Full UK driving license as travel will be required across the Southwest.
