• Collaborate with teams to pioneer techniques for wafer growth, ensuring high material quality and uniformity.
• Work closely with photonics device design teams to tailor epitaxial layers for optimal device performance.
• Establish and manage robust quality control protocols while overseeing material characterization for wafers.
• Mentor junior engineers and researchers, fostering expertise in epitaxial growth methods and photonics.
• Manage and direct R&D projects, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and timelines.
• Stay informed about emerging technologies, industry standards, and advancements in epitaxial growth.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. degree in Materials Science, Physics, Chemistry, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• 12+ years of experience in epitaxial growth of compound semiconductors, particularly InP.
• Proven expertise in Metal-Organic Chemical Vapor Deposition (MOCVD).
• Strong understanding of photonics and optoelectronic device applications.
• Strong analytical skills with experience in statistical process control and data interpretation.
• Experience with optoelectronic device fabrication.
• Familiarity with cleanroom protocols and semiconductor fabrication.
• Hands‑on experience with characterization tools such as XRD, PL, SEM, SIMS, and AFM.
• Knowledge of industry standards and requirements for photonic devices.
