Job summary
A leading food production company in Strabane seeks a Quality Assurance Officer to maintain and improve quality standards. Responsibilities include conducting QA audits, liaising with internal departments on compliance, and ensuring all necessary documentation is accurately filed. Ideal candidates will have qualifications in Food Technology or related fields and relevant experience in quality assurance.
Qualifications
- Relevant qualifications in Food Technology, Science, or Environmental Health.
- Experience in quality assurance and audits.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
Responsibilities
- Carry out QA audits on a daily, weekly & monthly basis.
- Liaise with internal departments regarding standards, hygiene, and compliance.
- Ensure compliance with legislation and customer standards.

Education
Responsible To: Technical / Quality Manager
Qualifications: Qualification in Food Technology / Science / Environmental Health (or equivalent).
Main Purpose: To maintain, control & improve quality standards throughout the organisation.
- Carry out QA audits on a daily, weekly & monthly basis and take corrective & preventative action as necessary.
- Carry out quality bake checks.
- Liaise with internal departments regarding standards, hygiene, compliance etc.
- Ensure all relevant procedures are followed as detailed in work instructions, HACCP & CCPs to ensure compliance with legislation, 3 rd party & customer standards.
- Ensure all necessary documentation is completed, accurate, updated & filed accordingly.
- Involved in & oversee production quality trials.
- Establish, monitor and revise work instructions as necessary.
- Behave in a responsible manner showing respect for company property and respect for other members of staff.
- Any other reasonable duties as required.
