Academic Registry is a central professional service at the heart of university life. We're looking for a Senior Academic Quality and Standards Officer to join our team and help shape the future of learning and teaching through expert guidance, policy development, and operational excellence.
In this role, you'll play a key part in delivering core academic quality assurance and standards activities. You'll work closely with colleagues across the University, providing expert advice and support on internal and external regulatory requirements. You'll contribute to strategic projects, support committees, and help ensure our policies and processes are clear, effective, and student- and staff-friendly. You'll be confident making evidence‑based recommendations and committed to seeing change through from idea to implementation. You’ll also have the opportunity to develop your expertise across a wide range of quality assurance areas, with an initial focus on course approval and course change.
You're already familiar with the regulatory landscape and key considerations in UK higher education, and you're keen to deepen your sector expertise. You bring a collaborative and consultative approach to your work, and are motivated by continuous improvement and making a meaningful impact. You're confident in making evidence‑based recommendations and decisions, and seeing them through from idea to implementation and monitoring. You’re passionate about providing excellent support to colleagues across the University and use your communication skills—both written and verbal—to offer clear, accessible advice, guidance, and training to staff and students alike.
