Job summary

A leading recruitment agency is seeking a Material QC Inspector for a long-term decommissioning and carbon capture project in North Wales. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of QC experience in Oil and Gas construction, be familiar with international material certifications, and possess a relevant degree. The role involves carrying out QC checks, managing inspection records, and collaborating with subcontractors. Competitive negotiable day rates are offered for this contract position.

Qualifications

  • At least 5 years in material QC activities on Oil and Gas construction or industrial sites.
  • Legal right to work in the UK without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out QC checks on all incoming materials and equipment.
  • Review Purchase Orders and project specifications.
  • Perform visual checks on delivered items.
  • Prepare MRR/MIR reports and update the client.
  • Manage material certifications and inspection records.
  • Keep testing documentation organized.
  • Issue Inspection and Non-Conformity Reports.
  • Oversee subcontractors to confirm compliance.
  • Witness inspections and collect QC records.

Skills

QC experience across structural, mechanical, civil and electrical items
Confident with MS365 and Excel
Relevant degree or diploma
