Job summary

A leading manufacturing company in Folkestone is seeking a Laboratory Technician for a temporary ongoing role. The ideal candidate will have experience in quality control, particularly within a fast-paced FMCG environment, and knowledge of GMP and ISO 13485 standards. Responsibilities include maintaining laboratory notebooks, supporting the validation of analytical methods, and collaborating with R&D on product testing. This role offers an hourly rate of £14.15 for 36 hours a week.

Qualifications

  • Experience in quality control, ideally in a fast-paced FMCG environment.
  • Knowledge of GMP and ISO 13485 is highly advantageous.
  • Confidence in working independently in a laboratory setting.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate laboratory notebooks.
  • Complete daily tasks assigned by the QC Shift Supervisor.
  • Support validation of new analytical methods.
  • Report out-of-specification results.
  • Collaborate with R&D on new product testing.

Laboratory Technician - Temporary Ongoing Role

Location: Folkestone
Hourly Rate: £14.15 per hour
Hours: Monday-Thursday 8:00am-4:30pm, Friday 8:00am-3:30pm

Join an innovative and thriving manufacturing company in Folkestone as a Laboratory Technician. In this temporary ongoing role, you will play a key part in maintaining high-quality standards by carrying out testing on raw materials, semi-finished products, and finished goods in line with GMP requirements and internal procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate, detailed, and up-to-date laboratory notebooks
  • Work independently to complete daily tasks assigned by the QC Shift Supervisor
  • Support the validation and verification of new analytical methods within the QC laboratory
  • Report any out-of-specification results and participate in root-cause investigations
  • Uphold 5S standards and ensure audit readiness, reporting any non-conformance
  • Collaborate with R&D/Technical Services on testing for new product introductions and existing product support
  • Maintain and update the retain sample programme
  • Carry out a range of laboratory testing to required standards
  • Assist in reviewing and updating laboratory procedures and test methods within set timeframes to ensure ongoing compliance
Qualifications

You will bring experience in quality control, ideally within a fast-paced FMCG environment. Knowledge of GMP and ISO 13485 is highly advantageous. A qualification in analytical science is desirable. You should be confident working independently in a laboratory setting, with strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail.
