A leading energy supplier in London is looking for an experienced Social Media Manager to drive engagement and growth in their online presence. This role involves creating dynamic content, utilizing social listening tools, and analyzing performance metrics to enhance social interactions. The ideal candidate has at least three years of experience in social media, is skilled in video production, and is passionate about innovative communication strategies. A flexible working approach and a commitment to impactful content are essential.
Octopus Energy is on a mission to make the world’s energy fairer, cleaner and better. In nine years, we’ve become the UK’s largest energy supplier, but we’re not like the rest. Out of 650,000+ reviews, 89% of customers rate us ‘Excellent’. We invest billions into building renewable generation across Europe, you can talk to our CEO on Twitter, and we work with everyone from Arsenal to Idris Elba to Al Gore. And because we genuinely do what’s right for customers, stuff like this happens a lot.
We’re looking for an experienced social media manager who can wear many hats with the overarching goal of growing the impact of the social media Octoverse. A hands-on creative who’s looking to step up to greater responsibility.
Social media is 24/7 and Octopus is famous for its customer service. You’ll regularly see our directors popping up on X and Facebook groups to look after customers and this team supports them. This doesn’t mean work all the time, but if you are keen on flexible working over clocking in and out, this is more likely to be a job for you. This is mainly an office-based role, working from our London HQ in Oxford Circus. You’ll be in 4 days in for the first 6 months, 3 days a week after that.
