An experienced Relief Female Personal Assistant is required to cover maternity leave/holidays/sickness of staff who care for a 79-year-old disabled lady suffering from MS with some mental health needs.

The role includes all aspects of personal care, assist with eating and meal preparation and handling medications there will be some light cleaning duties. The hours will be daytime and sleepover hours. You will accompany her on outings around the area and be able to keep the lady occupied throughout the day. The lady is a wheelchair user so moving and handling experience is essential.

A DBS check will be required and paid for by the employer. Pay is £14.70 per hour and £87.20 per sleepover, and time and a half on bank Holidays. Applicant must be able to cover holidays and sickness, sometimes at short notice and on weekends.

Exception Under The Equality Act (2010) - the post is only open to female applicants due to the personal assistance required.

• Move and handle the lady as a wheelchair user with appropriate safety and technique.

• Cover holidays and sickness, including short-notice and weekend shifts.

• Moving & Handling: 1 year (preferred).
• Care Work: 3 years (preferred).
