A regional health organization in Manchester is seeking a Team Lead for the School Health Service to oversee clinical and operational functions. Candidates must be a registered nurse with a BSc in SCPHN, extensive school nursing experience, and proven leadership skills. This full-time role offers a salary range of £47,810 to £54,710 annually, with opportunities for professional development. The position supports children's health across Manchester through collaboration and innovation.
School Health Service, part of the Children's Community Health Services Directorate in Manchester Local Care Organisation, operates citywide across Manchester working in partnership with schools to improve the health outcomes of children, young people and their families. The School Health Service consists of several teams: Healthy Child Programme (HCP), School Health Screening Team; Healthy Schools Programme; and the Healthy Weight Team, contributing to tackling health inequalities by addressing the city's key public health priorities for children.
This Team Lead post is responsible for the day‑to‑day clinical and operational leadership of one of the four child focused functions. The post will be subject to review and is rotational to provide the opportunity for professional development and to support service delivery. It will also work together with the Team Leads of the other Functions, with the Heads of Service and the Lead Manager to form the School Health Services Management Team.
