We often have vacancies for Domiciliary Care Assistants to support our service users so that they can remain in their own homes and live as independently as possible. These frontline posts are essential to our work.
What is domiciliary care?
Domiciliary care is provided to people who still live in their own homes but who require additional support with household tasks, personal care or any other activity that allows them to maintain their independence and quality of life. Anyone at any stage of life could require domiciliary care including those with learning disabilities, mental health problems, sensory impairment, or physical disabilities.
As a Domiciliary Care Assistant, you will be an essential part of the service user’s daily routine and they will be relying on you to maintain their independence.
Areas Covered:
Support 40 clients over the age of 65, with 70% of visits being a minimum of 1 hour
Will consider candidates from Tiverton, Tipton St John, Newton Poppleford, Bradninch, Uffculme, Sampford Peverell, Cranbrook, Broadsclyst, Dunkeswell, Silverton, Thorverton
Shifts:
Full time - Around 30 hours per week
Part time - Minimum 12 hours per week
Shifts vary between 8am to 9pm, including alternate weekends
Guaranteed hours contract on completion of probation
School hours will be considered if looking for up to 20 hours per week
Pay:
Weekdays - £13
Weekends- £14.50
Travel time paid at standard hourly rate
Mileage at 45p
Key purpose of post
The key purpose of this post is to contribute to the achievement of the objectives of the service, within Care With Kindness’ policies and practices. These duties are to be carried out in the context of Care With Kindness’ value system and in line with best practice as outlined in the Skills for Care Code of Conduct for Healthcare Support Workers and Adult Social Care Workers in England.
This post reports to the Registered Manager.
