Job Summary

With an increasing demand for urgent care, we are seeking Emergency Nurse Practitioners and Paramedic Practitioners to join our Urgent Treatment Centre in Ashford, Surrey. The centre operates 7 days a week, 365 days a year, providing high‑quality, evidence‑based, patient‑centred care. You will work as an independent, autonomous practitioner, diagnosing and managing a diverse range of patients, including children over the age of 2 and adults.

Excellent training opportunities are available, including non‑medical prescribing support from an experienced Clinical Lead who encourages personal development. Full and part‑time hours are available over a 7‑day week, with shifts covering opening hours of 08:00‑20:00.

Main Duties

Provide the local community with access to both scheduled and unscheduled care provision, 365 days a year, delivering convenient and accessible care. Job Responsibilities
  • Work as an autonomous practitioner, providing completed episodes of care to individuals.
  • Follow agreed guidelines and protocols where they exist; exercise autonomous decision‑making in their absence.

  • Manage performance of other team members where appropriate.
  • Allocate an appropriate skill mix to each shift, anticipating and addressing shortfalls.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, offering informed choice and addressing anxieties and behaviours.
  • Maintain effective communication with team members, ensuring all are kept informed.
  • Adhere to Caldicott Guardianship, consent, and confidentiality in line with data protection policies.
  • Perform quality controls; conduct risk assessments and forward for action where required.

Person Specification – Experience
