As an Assistant Stores Person, you’ll support the Stores team with activities related to yard and store operations. Your role involves liaising with supervisors and operatives to facilitate the ordering and distribution of materials and supplies for field operations. You will employ best business practices to improve efficiency, reduce operating costs, and enhance performance.

• Establish and monitor the depot and store’s location, ensuring good housekeeping
• Issue stock to Operations teams
• Accurately record all stock issued in Sage
• Regularly check stock levels
• Store, catalog, and distribute supplies, arranging for collection and delivery of equipment and packages
• Source strategic stock at short notice through established relationships
• Ensure the availability of appropriate PPE for a safe working environment
• Ensure suppliers comply with delivery specifications
• Check quantities of unpacked supplies against delivery notes and purchase orders
• Maintain health, safety, and compliance within the yard
• Deliver stores and materials to various operational sites across the region

• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Adherence to safety policies and regulations (HSE)
• Telehandler license is essential
• Proficiency in computer applications including Excel, Word, and email
• Understanding of materials needed for operations
• Experience with Sage stock management
