Job summary
A mobile games publisher is seeking a Data Engineer to design and build scalable data pipelines for mobile gaming. This role will focus on enabling analytics and driving AI-powered insights. Ideal candidates will have 4-6 years in the games industry, strong data architecture skills, and the ability to work independently. The position is fully remote and offers an exciting opportunity to impact game development through data-driven decisions.
Qualifications

Are you an experienced Data Engineer with a passion for mobile games and building scalable data systems?
This is a fully remote opportunity to join an international mobile games publisher and developer in a high-ownership role, focused on shaping data infrastructure, enabling analytics, and driving AI-powered insights across the business.
This role is ideal for a data professional who enjoys taking architectural responsibility, working end to end on data pipelines, and applying strategic thinking to unlock value from data across game development, live operations, and business decision-making.
- Design, build, and own end-to-end data pipelines across multiple data sources
- Take architectural ownership of the data stack, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance
- Enable analytics and reporting to support product, live ops, and commercial decision-making
- Apply AI and machine learning concepts to generate actionable insights across the studio
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and translate them into robust technical solutions
- Maintain and improve data quality, governance, and documentation
- Four to six years of professional experience working with data in the games industry, ideally within mobile games
- Strong experience designing data architectures and building production-grade data pipelines
- Practical experience applying AI or machine learning concepts to real-world data problems
- Ability to take ownership, work independently, and make sound technical decisions
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fully remote environment
- Fully remote role
