We have an exciting opportunity for a Mental Health Nurse to join our primary care team at Gatwick IRC, located in Gatwick.

The site currently offers a 24‑hour service with shift patterns Monday‑Friday 8am‑4pm, flexible to do day and night shifts.

Full‑time position. Annual salary up to £45,101 per annum FTE, depending on experience.

Legal requirement: Candidates must have a legal right to work in the UK. Offers of employment will be subject to additional vetting and security checks.

• Work within a multi‑disciplinary team carrying out comprehensive assessments, initiating and reviewing care plans, and developing treatment options.
• Undertake medication rounds and assess and treat patients who may have undergone traumatic experiences.
• Assess patients’ health needs using an evidence‑based framework and be able to risk assess using sound clinical knowledge.
• Work with individuals providing advice, support and information and manage a case load of patients.
• Monitor therapeutic responses to medication and potential side effects liaising with prescribers as required.
• Inspire excellence by forging strong links with partners and stakeholders.

• NMC Registered Mental Health, or Learning Disability Nurse.
• Experience of working with patients face‑to‑face who have complex mental‑health conditions.
• Experience of psychosocial interventions, group work and awareness of substance misuse.
• Experience of working with learning disability patients.
• Evidence of continued professional development.
• Ideal: Experience in a hospital, community or prison environment.
