Rio Tinto, a global leader in mining and metals, is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our London operations. This role is critical in ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of our industrial equipment and machinery. The successful candidate will perform preventive and corrective maintenance to minimize downtime and maximize operational efficiency.Job Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections, servicing, and repairs of mechanical and electrical equipment
- Troubleshoot and diagnose faults in industrial machinery and systems
- Perform preventive maintenance according to scheduled plans
- Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment conditions
- Adhere to strict health, safety, and environmental regulations
- Collaborate with engineering teams to improve equipment reliability
Education & Qualifications
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related field
- Minimum a year of experience in industrial maintenance
