A leading educational support provider is looking for a Learning Support Assistant (LSA) in Haywards Heath. The role involves supporting children aged 4-11 with special educational needs. Ideal candidates will have a relevant undergraduate degree or SEN experience, and a passion for helping students reach their potential. Working hours are 8:30 to 15:30, five days a week, on a long-term contract.
Qualifications
- Experience in working with children with special educational needs.
- Strong understanding of learning and behavioral needs.
- Desire to support children's development effectively.
Responsabilités
- Assist students academically and pastorally.
- Support children's individual needs in 1:1 and small group settings.
- Maintain individual student records accurately.

Location: Haywards Heath | Contract Type: Long Term Contract, 5 days a week, 8:30 - 15:30
This is an opportunity for an individual with SEN experience or a Psychology Graduate with keen interest in Special Educational Needs. The role focuses on raising attainment for children aged 4-11 as a Learning Support Assistant (LSA).
- Assisting students academically and pastorally
- Willing to work 1:1 and in small groups
- Encourage development of social skills and support students' individual needs
- Attend staff meetings and complete CPD
- Follow safeguarding procedures
- Ensure accurate individual student records are maintained
- Participate in team meetings and training programmes as an active member of a team
- An Undergraduate Degree (preferred) and/or previous SEN experience; suitable for Psychology Graduates/Aspiring Educational Psychologist
- Education in English and Maths, Grade 5 / C or above (desired)
- Knowledge or keen interest in the range of learning and behavioural needs (SEMH, PRU, Cognitive Behaviours)
- Passionate about helping children reach their potential
- Ability to build robust relationships with students
- Resilience
- Caring, compassionate, and a good listener
