Job summary
A large Nuclear Engineering company in the UK is seeking Mechanical Engineers for contract roles in locations including Warrington, Preston, Bristol, and Glasgow. Candidates should possess an engineering degree and relevant nuclear experience, along with BPSS or SC clearance. This role involves promoting effective teamwork, technical problem-solving, and ensuring compliance with engineering standards.

- Experience managing tasks across different project types.

Skills
Education
A variety of Mechanical / Senior / Principal Mechanical Engineering roles available for a large Nuclear Company. The engineer will work on a contract basis in Warrington / Preston / Bristol / Glasgow.
The Engineer applies engineering domain knowledge competently to provide technical solutions in the delivery of products and services while developing domain knowledge, experience and leadership skills.
- Dependant on level of Mechanical Engineer applying for
- Promote effective co-operation across Engineering and other functional teams
- Interface with customers and supply chain on design issues and assist with procurement specifications
- Ensure procedures, codes and standards are correctly identified and applied to engineering and technical activities
- Ensure task and project risks are communicated appropriately
- Contribute to Product Safety Assessment process
- Provide a technical interface with internal and external stakeholders at a detailed level
- Carry out technical investigations and analyses to provide data for problem assessment/resolution and for design of improvements
- Contribute to process improvement within the operational and/or design lifecycle to deliver continuous improvements in quality, cycle time and asset utilisation
- Apply engineering domain knowledge to produce technical solutions and documentation in support of assigned task and project
- BPSS or SC Clearance
- Previous Nuclear Experience
- Engineering degree in relevant engineering discipline with significant experience
- Experience in working collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams to deliver activities on a range of project types
- Demonstrable experience in covering a variety of tasks
- Chartered status or working toward a chartered status
