Senior Forensic Psychiatrist – West London SCFT
Job summary
A leading NHS Trust in Greater London is seeking a Consultant Forensic Psychiatrist for their Specialist Community Forensic Team. This role involves a small but complex caseload, providing clinical leadership and community forensic expertise. Candidates must be registered with the GMC, have Section 12 Approval, and Approved Clinician status. This opportunity offers a dynamic work environment within a diverse mental health and healthcare provider, supporting professional growth and development within forensic services.
Qualifications
- Must be registered with a licence to practice with the GMC.
- Inclusion on the Specialist Register or within six months of interview is required.
- Ability to apply for Section 12 Approval and Approved Clinician status.
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical leadership to a multi-disciplinary team.
- Work with a small caseload of approximately 30 outpatients.
- Offer community forensic expertise and support to secure ward teams.
