A renewable energy company in London is seeking a Social Media Manager to create impactful content and engage with customers. The role involves video production, social listening, and content analysis to enhance social media presence. Candidates should have at least three years of experience and a passion for renewable energy. This position offers flexibility in working arrangements and a dynamic company culture.
Octopus Energy is on a mission to make the world’s energy fairer, cleaner and better. We’ve become the UK’s largest energy supplier in nine years and have a strong customer sentiment (e.g., 89% of customers rate us ‘Excellent’ from 650,000+ reviews). We invest billions into building renewable generation across Europe. We operate with a culture of openness and impact and work with a wide range of partners and communities.
We’re looking for an experienced social media manager who can wear many hats with the overarching goal of growing the impact of the social media Octoverse. A hands-on creative who’s looking to step up to greater responsibility.
Social media is 24/7 and Octopus is famous for its customer service. You’ll regularly see our directors popping up on X and Facebook groups to look after customers and this team supports them. This doesn’t mean work all the time, but if you are keen on flexible working over clocking in and out, this is more likely to be a job for you. This is mainly an office-based role, working from our London HQ in Oxford Circus. You’ll be in 4 days in for the first 6 months, 3 days a week after that.
