A leading UK retailer is seeking a Finance Subject Matter Expert to oversee the implementation of an ERP system. The role involves collaboration across finance teams to improve efficiencies and ensure seamless integration of new technologies, requiring strong expertise in SAP financial processes. The position offers hybrid working and a competitive benefits package.
Location - This is a hybrid role. The team is expected to come together approximately once a week at our London Head Office.
Join one of the most dynamic and forward-thinking areas of Sainsbury's: the Finance team embedded within our Commercial Transformation programme. We're driving one of the most ambitious change initiatives in our history, reshaping how we operate to become a market-leading, innovative retailer. Our mission is to deliver exceptional solutions for customers and colleagues alike, and we\'re investing in cutting-edge technology to make it happen. You\'ll be at the heart of this transformation, helping to plan and deliver change across our finance business teams.
As a Finance Subject Matter Expert (SME), you\'ll lead the implementation of next-generation technology assets that integrate, automate, and optimise financial processes across the business. This hands-on role focuses on the adoption of a new ERP system, working closely with finance stakeholders to evolve BAU accounting, central reporting, and financial systems.
You'll collaborate with PMO, controls assurance, and external consultants to deliver process efficiencies and control improvements. Expect to be deeply involved in documenting interfaces, supporting knowledge transfer, and ensuring accurate and efficient data handling. You\'ll also consult across transformation projects to align systems changes and dependencies, ensuring seamless integration across people, platforms, and processes.
You're a proactive problem-solver with deep expertise in financial systems and transformation. You thrive in complex environments and are comfortable navigating ambiguity. Your ability to influence at all levels and communicate clearly with both financial and non-financial stakeholders sets you apart.
You bring a fresh perspective, challenge the status quo, and identify opportunities to improve how we work. You're confident in delivering training, transferring knowledge, and supporting teams through change. Your behaviours reflect agility, resilience, and a commitment to excellence.
