Overview

Our client is seeking a dedicated Client Accountant to join their expanding Global Accounting team within Governance Services. This pivotal role will involve providing exceptional accounting services to a diverse range of client entities. The ideal candidate will have the opportunity to advance their professional career while gaining valuable experience on various technical accounts across a broad portfolio of clients.

Job Duties
  • Assist in preparing and reviewing client financial statements under UK GAAP, IFRS, and FRS 102.
  • Support the audit process for clients by providing necessary documentation and insights.
  • Help generate periodic reports, capital account statements, and net asset valuations.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records in client entity databases, including Viewpoint, QuickBooks, and Yardi.
  • Collaborate with team members and clients to manage expectations and meet deadlines effectively.
  • Maintain a detailed understanding of transactions and regularly communicate with your line manager.
  • Ensure consistency in accounting service levels across all client interactions.
  • Build and develop strong relationships with clients, auditors, and third-party service providers.
Job Requirements
  • Relevant academic qualifications, preferably part-qualified ACCA/ACA, or similar credentials, along with good up-to-date technical knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS, including practical application.
  • Demonstrable practical and technical knowledge of accounting systems, particularly Viewpoint and QuickBooks, is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially with MS Excel.
  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to work well under pressure and deliver accurate results promptly.
  • A professional, proactive, and service-oriented mindset.
  • Strong discretion and good judgement in handling client matters.
