Global Privacy Senior Manager

We’re seeking a Global Privacy Operations expert to build, lead, and optimise a world-class privacy operations programme. Embedding privacy-by-design across a complex global landscape and partnering with leaders across legal, product, engineering, data, and the wider business.

Based in a Central London HQ, you’ll take ownership of the global privacy operations function, driving the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of the privacy framework. You will be the operational engine room of our privacy programme, ensuring privacy principles aren’t just policies, but are the way of working across every area of the business.

You will work at the intersection of privacy, technology, and innovation, shaping how data is handled across diverse teams including Infosec, Data Governance, Product, Marketing and Innovation.

This role will suit someone who can balance strategic thinking with hands‑on operational delivery, and who brings credibility from working in complex FTSE-scale organisations.

• Own and oversee global privacy operations and programme implementation.
• Build, manage, and mentor a high‑performing privacy operations team.
• Design and deliver efficient, scalable privacy processes supporting a world‑class privacy programme.
• Embed privacy‑by‑design across global products, services, business solutions and cross‑functional programmes.
• Develop templates, processes, and standards that underpin global compliance.
• Oversee consumer data subject rights handling and support PIAs / DPIAs.
• Maintain accurate privacy inventories and documentation.
• Provide operational support for data breaches and incident response.
• Implement training, awareness, and education programmes across the business.
• Define metrics and KPIs to assess the effectiveness of the privacy programme.
• Lead the design and implementation of a global privacy accountability framework.
• Support risk management framework development and execution.

• Extensive experience in privacy, data protection, or related roles, ideally gained in FTSE 100 / 250, telecoms, tech, or similarly complex multinational environments.
• Proven track record in implementing and operationalising privacy programmes at scale.
• CIPP and CIPM certifications.
• Auditor certification (ISO / IEC 27001 or 27701 Lead Auditor, BIS, or equivalent) a strong plus.
• Deep understanding of UK / EU GDPR, e-PECR, information security, cybersecurity laws, and the US privacy framework.
• Familiarity with ISO 27001, ISMS, and PIMS frameworks.
• Strong leadership credentials with proven experience leading global or distributed teams.
• Ability to operate with credibility, influence at senior levels, and work seamlessly across cultures and regions.
