Advanced Practitioner Haematology - Blood Sciences

The closing date is 08 December 2025

An opportunity has arisen within the Blood Sciences Department at Diana Princess of Wales Hospital for a Band 7 Advanced practitioner (Haematology). The successful candidate will be expected to hold FIBMS, equivalent MSc or IBMS HSD, although candidates nearing completion of the above or with extensive experience are invited to apply.

The Path Links Pathology network receives work from the whole of Lincolnshire. Path Links encompasses Scunthorpe, Goole, Lincoln, Boston, Grimsby and Grantham Hospitals. Scunthorpe is a busy, fast-paced working environment, with excellent training opportunities. We are a large, friendly and welcoming team.

Main duties of the job

You will be required to have good communication skills and the ability to work under pressure. Previous experience of staff training is essential asise experience of UKAS ISO:15189. The successful candidate will work in a busy blood sciences laboratory supporting the blood sciences manager with the day to day management.
