This permanent, full-time role involves procurement and administration tasks, supporting laboratories and field functions. Technician – Support Services (Procurement)

Circa £27,000 dependent on skills and experience

Permanent, full time, 37 hours per week

This exciting role provides a procurement service to the laboratories and field-based functions. As part of this role you’ll liaise with suppliers of services to the laboratory and sampling functions, and provide a facilities service for the laboratories.

Key responsibilities:
  • Provide support to the Support Services Manager
  • Ensure all visitors to site are signed in and supervised during their visit
  • Prepare meeting rooms and ensure all consumables are available
  • Make staff aware of deliveries
  • Procurement activities including SAP ordering, monitoring of temporary staff contracts/orders, and day to day operation of contracts for the supply of lab chemicals and equipment
  • Be the first point of contact to deal with any enquiries relating to ordering or delivery of goods and / or services
  • Deal with general lab service queries
  • Maintain SAP in line with training and guidance
  • Accurate and current records of spend to be kept
  • Maintenance of monthly standard reports
