Job summary
A leading financial services firm in London is seeking a Lead Project Accountant on a contract basis. The ideal candidate is a qualified accountant with expertise in project accounting, capable of providing end-to-end accounting capabilities for complex multi-year programs. Strong skills in financial modeling and experience with OneStream or similar systems are advantageous. This role demands a self-starter who thrives both independently and within a team.
Qualifications
- Experience as a qualified Accountant, either in professional services or corporate.
- Highly experienced in project accounting and business case preparation.
- Self-starter comfortable working autonomously or in a team.
Responsibilities
- Support program to understand cost base for better decision-making.
- Provide end-to-end project accounting capability for multi-year program.
- Manage Capex and Non-recurring spend across multiple countries.

Our client, a leading Financial Services company, are recruiting for the Lead Project Accountant to join the team on a contract basis at their offices in London.
- Supporting programme to understand their cost base and enable decision-making through insights
- Provide end-to-end project accounting capability for a complex multi-year programme
- Excellent understanding of programme cost impact to P&L and Balance Sheet
- Managing the Capex and Non-recurring spend across multiple countries
- Expert in Opex, Capex and Non-recurring principles / policy setting
- Expert in qualifying and quantifying Capex and Non-recurring costs
- A finance professional with experience as a qualified Accountant, either in professional services or corporate, highly experienced in project accounting, project partnering, business case and commentary preparation, financial modelling alongside
- Self-starter who is comfortable working autonomously and as part of a team, with the ability to identify and lead on new initiatives
- Previous experience with OneStream and Unit 4 or a similar financial recording system is advantageous
