Job summary
A leading financial services firm in the UK is seeking an experienced enterprise risk professional to support their business plan and oversee risk management frameworks. Key responsibilities include chairing the Policy Governance Forum, managing risk policies, and collaborating with teams to enhance risk culture. Ideal candidates will have substantial experience in enterprise risk management and a strong grasp of regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Experience in enterprise risk management within financial services.
- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and risk frameworks.
- Proficient in facilitating workshops and collaborating with stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Chair the new Policy Governance Forum and manage the Policy Governance Framework.
- Maintain and review key risk management frameworks and policies.
- Facilitate workshops for identifying and managing emerging risks.
We are partnered with a leading financial services firm who are in a period of considerable growth. In line with this growth we are seeking an experienced enterprise risk professional to join on an interim basis. The primary purpose of the role is to support the delivery of the business plan and strategic priorities, the oversight of first line policies, procedures and controls for the management of risk at Level 1 and 2 in the risk taxonomy to protect customers, as well as fulfilling regulatory/statutory obligations.
- Chair the new Policy Governance Forum and maintain and manage the Policy Governance Framework
- Maintain and review the Risk Management Framework, Operational Risk Policy, Policy Governance Framework, and Risk Appetite Framework.
- Facilitate Emerging Risk workshops to enable the identification, awareness and management of Emerging Risks
- Collaborate with stakeholders and wider teams to embed risk culture, ensuring appropriate training requirements are identified.
- Assist the in evolving the risk framework in line with the Board’s expectations
- Lead/Facilitate SME workshops to build scenarios for risk stress testing
- Assist the CRO and Head of Finance in establishing the companies regulatory capital and liquidity requirements
- Support in delivering the ICARA each year
- Assist with the risk reporting, building and maintaining the corporate risk register.
- Be responsible for the oversight of Enterprise risk on a day to day basis from a company perspective.
- Provide 2nd line review and challenge across all risk types with the support of Investment Risk on Investment related risks
