Job summary
A leading recruitment agency in the UK is seeking Site/Section Engineers for new build highways projects in the Midlands. The ideal candidates will have a degree in Civil Engineering and some experience, ideally with a UK contractor. Full training will be provided to ensure your career progression. Positions are available in areas such as Birmingham, Nottingham, and Leicester, offering a competitive salary of £30-£38k plus package.
Qualifications
- Qualified in a Civil Engineering or related degree.
- CSCS Card holder.
- Experience as an Engineer in UK civil engineering projects.
Responsibilities
- Set out on civil engineering projects.
- Assist Project Manager with site records and risk assessments.
- Maintain and calibrate setting out equipment.

Education
A Major Main Contractor are seeking Site and Section Engineers to work on Highways Schemes from £20m-£200m. The ideal candidate will have some experience within the Civil Engineering Industry as an Engineer working for a UK Main/Subcontractor on a Civils Project, ideally some Highways but not essential. Full training will be provided so that you can progress from your current position.
Salary: £30-£38k+pkg
Location: Midlands - Birmingham, Rugby, Leicester, Derby, Nottingham, Northampton
Regions: Bedfordshire, Birmingham, Buckinghamshire, East Midlands, Midlands, West Midlands
Key Areas of responsibility will include:
- Setting out on civil engineering projects
- Method Statements
- Health and Safety Awareness
- Assist the Project Manager / Site Agents with site records, risk assessments, method statements and permits as appropriate
- Communicate setting out control and provide information to assist with the construction of works
- Ensure setting out equipment is properly maintained and calibrated
You will be working on Civil Engineering projects, specifically Earthworks, Remediation, Roads, and Highways
There are multiple positions available in the Midlands, including:
- Northampton
- Nottingham
- Birmingham
- Derby
- Leicester
- Rugby
Essential Criteria to be considered for this Role:
- HNC/HND/Degree Qualified in a Civil Engineering/Construction Related Degree
- CSCS Card
- Previous Experience of working on a Civil Engineering Project as an Engineer in the UK with a Main or Subcontractor
