Job Title: Media & Communications Officer

Salary: up to £34.5K

The organisation: An environmental campaign

The Role

To promote campaign messages to the media and the public, which can include national and international travel and managing relationships with celebrity supporters.

To package and deliver a media plan in order to maximise the effectiveness of the campaigning work and thus increase the chance of success.

To build relationships with journalists and respond to incoming media enquiries. This includes writing articles, press releases, and blogs, and managing social networks.

The Candidate

Has a demonstrable understanding of the media, particularly within the campaigning sector, in order to maximise support from the public and ultimately from decision makers.

Has solid experience of working with a UK-wide campaign or organisation in a public relations or media context, including online communications and brand management.

An excellent project manager able to manage and assess communications and media projects.
