We’re hiring a Principal Frontend Engineer with a strong UI/UX focus to lead and shape the frontend strategy for a high-impact product team. This role is ideal for someone who’s not only an expert in modern frontend development but also deeply skilled in UI design and user experience.
You’ll be the go-to lead for all things UI—working closely with designers, backend engineers, and product stakeholders to translate user needs into beautifully crafted interfaces that scale.
Lead the design and development of intuitive, responsive UIs using React, NextJS, and TypeScript
Own and drive the frontend technical strategy and architecture
Translate design concepts into production-ready interfaces
Collaborate with product and UX teams to improve user journeys
Support and mentor other frontend engineers
Oversee performance optimisation and accessibility standards
Contribute to prototyping and experimentation with emerging tools
Proven ability in UI/UX design — not just implementation, but actually designing user interfaces
Strong hands-on experience with React, NextJS, and TypeScript
Experience building modern, component-driven UIs with performance and scalability in mind
TailwindCSS – for styling consistency and speed
AWS Deployment Experience – for DevOps handover and autonomy
Prototyping Tools – Replit or Vercel experience
Data Visualisation Libraries – such as D3.js, Highcharts, or similar
