Store Manager - Dover House - Lower Marsh

Location: The Co-operative Food, Ground Floor Retail Unit, London, SE1 7NT

Salary: £30,000 - £33,000 per annum plus benefits

Contract: Permanent

We’re looking for a skilled Store Manager to join our retail team. This full-time role offers a competitive salary and excellent benefits.

As a Store Manager, you'll help deliver the store's purpose by guiding commercial and community strategies. You'll lead your team to make shopping at Co-op a fantastic experience, supporting their growth and learning to demonstrate the Co-op difference to customers, colleagues, and members.

In this role, you can expect to:

  1. Empower your team to deliver great service, promoting the Co-op difference
  2. Build an inclusive culture where everyone can share their views
  3. Develop your team through performance conversations
  4. Ensure the store is safe, legal, and operational
  5. Manage and optimize store performance, recruit new team members, and oversee HR processes

You need experience in guiding and developing a team in a busy, service-focused environment. Good communication skills, coaching ability, motivation, and inspiration are essential. Additionally, you should have:

  • Resilience and problem-solving skills
  • The ability to analyze commercial information
  • Willingness to support store activities actively
