Calgaz Ltd, (Part of the Air Liquide Group) is the world leader in the manufacture of calibration gases which are distributed from our Stoke facility across the UK, Europe, Middle East, Asia and beyond. Working with our Head Office in Houston and our sister plants in the USA, Calgaz is a world leader in its field. We are looking to recruit a full-time Customer Service Associate based in Stoke. The role involves order entry, quotations, and supporting our key customers. The position reports to the EMEA Sales and Customer Services Manager in Stoke.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Order entry using SAGE, Zendesk, and other systems, including stock checks, part number searches, and shipping details.
- Providing quotations to European, Middle Eastern, and African customers, often within one hour for key clients.
- Providing key documents such as Certificates, SDS, Shipping info, Tracking info, PODs, and downloading order info from the Customer Portal.
- Resolving customer complaints promptly to ensure satisfaction.
- Performing other duties as required by the Customer Services team.
Working Details
Working hours are typically 08:00 to 16:30, Monday to Friday.

- Experience in a high-pressure customer service environment.
- Ability to work with IT systems like SAGE, Google, and Microsoft Suite (full training provided).
- Ownership of issues and follow-through to resolution.
- Attention to detail in high-volume order processing.
- Curious, methodical, and proactive in suggesting improvements.
- Respect, accuracy, positive attitude, and willingness to learn.
- Innovative mindset for workflow development.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Minimum of A Level education or equivalent.
- Good communication skills in English, both spoken and written.
- Computer and IT literate.
- Flexible team player.
Travel Requirements
Based in Stoke, no travel expected.
