Job summary

A technology service provider in West Yorkshire is seeking a 2nd Line Support Engineer to provide technical assistance for customer services. The role involves troubleshooting on various Cisco and Juniper platforms and requires strong communication skills. Ideal candidates will have CCNA and JNCIA certifications, along with experience in a 24x7 support environment. This position offers a team-focused atmosphere with opportunities for skill development and covering varied technologies.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in configuration, troubleshooting, and fault finding on Cisco Routing and Switching Platforms.
  • Experience with Cisco and Juniper Security Platforms.
  • Tier 2 Broadband Support including Traffic shaping.

Responsibilities

  • Provide 2nd Line support for customer technical services.
  • Participate in a 24x7 shift pattern across service provider portfolio.
  • Perform proactive maintenance such as patching and config backup.
  • Maintain and develop technical skills across relevant technologies.
  • Participate in Change Management and create change requests.

Skills

CCNA – R&S
JNCIA
Knowledge of network analytical tools such as Wireshark
Knowledge of Cisco management tools
Knowledge of Juniper Firewalls
Knowledge of F5 Configuration and fault finding
