We are recruiting for a Team Leader within our Access Team to be responsible for the provision of quality booking functions for all elective operations and ensuring local and national waiting time targets are achieved, through supervision and leadership.

Under current Home Office Immigration Rules, this role does not meet the UK Visas and Immigration criteria and the position is not therefore eligible for skilled worker sponsorship. Applications from candidates that require skilled worker sponsorship will NOT be shortlisted.

• Cross cover with the Team Leader for Appointments.
• Provide quality booking functions for all elective operations, maintaining professionalism and credibility while ensuring waiting time targets are met.
• Ensure all areas are manned appropriately and rotas produced according to service needs; comply with HR and Trust policies including sickness absence, performance and appraisals.
• Deputise for the Administrative Services Manager as required.

• Provide robust leadership to guide the team to achieve targets and objectives, ensuring all Trust policies and procedures are adhered to.
• Uphold high levels of customer service and Trust values.
• Monitor KPIs and targets relating to performance within the Access Team.
• Develop and implement new projects and processes within the Admissions team.
• Manage capacity and demand of workload to ensure correct staffing levels and skill mix at all times.
• Understand all functions of the Admissions team and flex services to deliver operational KPIs.

• Educated to GCSE Level or equivalent.
• ILM First Line Management or equivalent.
• Customer Services NVQ Level 3-4 or NVQ in Business Administration or equivalent experience.

• Understanding of capacity management.
• Understanding of national and local wait time targets (RTT).
• Ability to analyse and interpret data.
• Previous NHS experience.
• Experience with hospital patient administration systems.
• Experience with booking processes.

• Advanced keyboard skills.
• IT literacy; proficiency with Excel, Word and Outlook.
• ECDL or equivalent.
• Knowledge of National E-Referral System.
