A leading consultancy firm in the UK seeks a National Sustainability Officer to manage sustainability projects and compliance across multiple sites. The role involves coordinating stakeholder engagement, implementing sustainability strategies, and ensuring compliance with environmental standards. Ideal candidates will have at least 5 years of experience in sustainability roles, excellent communication and project management skills, and a relevant degree. The UK National Sustainability Officer's team delivers these activities through 3 pillars:
The scope of this mission will be to project manage, coordinate stakeholders' engagement and support the delivery of the activities above within the perimeter of the UK affiliates with a specific focus on the newly acquired sites of Belfast and Prestwick
Key requirements for the mission are:
1. Demonstrate understanding of relevant key Sustainability legislation and standards, and working knowledge of Environmental Management Systems, ISO 14001 certification, and related processes and procedures
2. Demonstrate a good understanding of the Airbus corporate Sustainability strategy and commitments
3. Be able to understand global Sustainability issues and associated trends
4. Be able to create content on a variety of sustainability topics
5. Have excellent communications skills, fluent in English (excellent writing and speaking level)
6. Have excellent organisational and project management skills to deliver a wide selection of projects over multiple sites
7. Master Google Suite's functionalities
8. Be able to work autonomously and as part of a team, with a diplomatic and engaging way of working
The objectives and achievements of the mission are:
1. Support the regulatory affairs pillar by ensuring on time, cost, quality (TCQ) delivery of compliance related data from site and/or legal entities stakeholders
2. Support the business integration pillar, ensuring TCQ delivery of site risks, auditing plan, site assessments and including organisation of all relevant visits for the team
3. Support the social value and engagement pillar, by engaging with local stakeholders to support the delivery of any agreed social value or engagement activities
