Job summary
A specialist health care provider is seeking a Cook to prepare nutritious meals for service users while adhering to dietary and cultural requirements. The ideal candidate will have a level 2 food hygiene certificate and prior food preparation experience in various settings. Responsibilities include maintaining the kitchen's cleanliness and managing food inventory. This role supports individuals with mental health challenges and promotes a caring environment within the facility.

Skills
Nutrition is an important part of providing the perfect care to our service users, and the Cook does just this! You will have all dietary requirements/ cultural requirements, and a genuine interest in the wellbeing of our service users, to serve up meals following these guidelines.
- Preparing nutritious meals for service users in line with guidelines/ requirements
- Daily cleaning and maintenance of the kitchen and equipment
- Maintain inventory of kitchen equipment and produce
- Utilise knowledge of HACCP and current food regulations
- Interaction with service users to reflect their food choices
- Food hygiene level 2 certification
- Previous experience of food preparation in a commercial/ domestic/ hospital or care setting
- Warm, approachable personality to engage with service users and vulnerable adults with ease
- Confident managing kitchen alone including cleanliness
