A healthcare organization is seeking a motivated Medical Laboratory Assistant for the Blood Sciences department. The position involves performing essential laboratory tasks such as specimen reception, data entry, and preparation of materials. Applicants are required to have a GCSE in Science, Maths, and English, with skills in following procedures and communication. Experience in laboratory or healthcare settings is desirable. Applications are invited from highly motivated individuals for a Medical Laboratory Assistant post in the department of Blood Sciences at Dorset County Hospital Foundation Trust.
The appointee will be required to undertake basic laboratory tasks which include specimen reception, keyboard entry of data into the laboratory management system and preparation of laboratory materials. Working in the specimen reception area you will be responsible for ensuring that the samples received into the department are recorded and prepared appropriately. You will also triage requests ensuring that urgent work is fast tracked appropriately.
