This is an exciting opportunity to work and train within our Dermatology Services at UCLH.

The position is a fixed 12 month term post and will provide training and experience in general dermatology, skin cancer, skin surgery and acute dermatology as well as several specialist clinics. It is suitable for candidates who have obtained their MRCP and are looking to gain dermatology experience prior to a specialist training post in dermatology.

• MBBS, or equivalent
• Eligible for full registration with the GMC at time of appointment and hold a current licence to practise. Non-UK trained doctors must be on the GMC register by date of appointment having completed both PLAB1 and PLAB2.
• Full MRCP, or equivalent

• Demonstrate a satisfactory training history in general medicine
• Evidence of achievement of CT2 competencies or equivalent

• Comprehensive clinical experience in General Medical conditions.
• Ability to maintain a high quality clinical records.
• Personal management skills including time management and managing paperwork satisfactorily
• Experience in minor skin surgery

• Evidence of good IT skills
• Clinical Audit experience
• Knowledge of Clinical Governance
• Evidence of service improvement projects

• Demonstrable experience of teaching junior medical staff
• Understanding and experience of research

• Communication: ability to communicate with clarity and intelligently in written and spoken English; ability to build rapport, listen, persuade/ negotiate and problem solve.
• Accountability: ability to take responsibility, lead, make decisions and exert appropriate authority
• Interpersonal Skills: High standards in patient care able to empathise and communicate with patients, relatives and carers
• Interpersonal Skills: Able to work co‑operatively with others to achieve organisational and personal goals.
